Why Byzantine Catholic?
Why Byzantine Catholic?
One Catholic faith, expressed through the spiritual heritage of the Christian East.
Why Byzantine Catholic?
Byzantine Catholics belong to the Catholic Church while preserving the liturgical, theological, and spiritual traditions of the Christian East. Our worship draws us into the mystery of Christ through Scripture, icons, chant, and the Divine Liturgy.
Catholic communion, Eastern tradition
Our tradition is Eastern in its forms of prayer and spirituality and Catholic in its communion with the Bishop of Rome and the worldwide Catholic Church.
What you will encounter
The Divine Liturgy, the liturgical Hours, the feasts and fasts of the Church, veneration of icons, and a spirituality that invites the whole person into prayer.
Questions are welcome
Our mission is also a place to explore how this tradition developed and why it continues to enrich the life of the Church.
